I am so excited.... They are the most loving kids you ever want to see and some of their stories would make you cry it did me. some have been through some unthinkable things. This is a Christian Orphanage, Debra is the director now that her dad has died but the moms still lives on the property and watches the kids all day from her window she is very old now but loves the kids.

I have felt so guilty for not going. Our church stopped going every month and it really is not safe to make the trip alone especially with my panic disorder. and not speaking spanish I only know about 15 sentences in spanish maybe 100 words.but not enough to really communicate but the kids and I communicate well. You don't have to speak spanish for them to sit in your lap and be loved on. And I even played basketball one time with one of the little boys. I just like to hold them because even though the workers there love thosekids and our good to them with 100 kids it is hard to give the the touch and hugs they need I did not have it as a child and i really want them to have it. I can not even tell you how happy I am to be going back when the pastor told me I started to cry and said Oh i get to see my babies.

I have seriously been praying about getting involved in a shelter here that houses battered women and children. I have to look into it. Im not sure where they all are. but I would love to go and just love on the kids, I know how they feel and how scared they must be to be hurt like that.

IM HAPPY IM GOING TO HE OPRHANAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mary;
This is wonderful and a great outreach - communicating the love of Jesus by taking time with the children is what Jesus would do - and how I remember being touched by Him as a child myself, as i had a very difficult childhood and very tough. But I always remembered that God was watching over me and that He brought loving people into my life to reach out to me with His kindness and love. Seeds were planted in my life through them because they cared enough to show me kindness.
Love and blessings to you,
helen

Great news Mary,

Did you ever think of a missionary position teaching orphans the piano?? It seems your heart is there.
I hope you and the kids are blessed by your trip.
