Well at least no one had a gun, We can Thank God for that.

Well, because the students were obviously a bit unpredictable and considering the psychology of "crowd mentality", I believe the school was wise in canceling the assembly.
As someone more or less stated, 3000 unpredictable students in close quarters is a scary thought indeed. I wouldn't have wanted to be in that situation.
I'm sorry your nieces were partakers in this and that all those kids who protested lacked the foresight to know the administrators weren't simply punishing the students for the sake of a few, but had all the student's best interest in mind while canceling a potentially dangerous situation.
I'm grateful, however that this did not escalate and that no one got hurt.
I do know that the kids were all texting each other last night and I don't know what they will do today, I know for Friday they all plan to ditch school . I told my nieces that I will call the school and Friday and they HAD BETTER BE THERE, I agree with the school for stopping the assembly, If they didnt and something would of happen then parents would be all over the school saying they could of prevented it.
Anyway how are you this morinig El.
