In the dark of the midnightHave I oft hid my faceWhile the storms howl above meAnd there’s no hiding placeMidst the crash of the thunderPrecious Lord, hear my cryKeep me safe till the storm passes by
Till the storm passes overTill the thunder sounds no moreTill the clouds roll forever from the skyHold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy handKeep me safe till the storm passes by
Many times Satan whispersHe says, “There’s no need to tryFor there’s no end in sorrowThere’s no hope in the by and by”But I know Thou art with meAnd tomorrow I’ll rise where the stormNever darken the sky

Mary,
Thanks so much for this!
I have't heard this song in awhile and it was the most touching video to me.
I cried through it all because it reminded me of the time when for the longest period, it seemed God was not there.
Have you ever seen the movie "Ray"?
If you did, remember the part where he called for his mom (as he was becomming totally blind),and
she didn't answer him? She allowed him to use his other senses to navigate around because his new life without sight would become one where he needed to discover a new world that only he would be able to conquer. I am sure it broke his mother's heart that she couldn't help him in his new world, but he needed to learn to survive, and his mom knew her limitations, and that continuing to assist him would not help him grow. I think God does this for us at times. He knows we have to suffer for a short season to gain victory--he is always there just as Rays mom was, but He also needs to let us get some "bruises" along the way He needs to lead us.
Well, maybe this isn't a good analogy but what cane to mind as I recently saw that movie again on cable.
Sometimes we feel God is not with us but his PROMISE is that He "will never leave nor forsake us." The potter shapes and bruises the clay, but in the end it is a beautiful, God crafted vessel He can use for His glory.
Most important part-- "Though my heart is torn, I will praise you in the storm".
What I saw throughout the video is praise, prayer, hands lifted up, down on our knees and the rainbow at the end.
Thanks Mary!
