Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heavenGive us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

Please pray that I get some more students. I really need to get about 4 more students to make my monthly bills.

Oh come on! That is the cutest pic ever. ha-ha

Umm... I suppose a prayer about my husband's schooling is in order. Things have gotten a wee bit fouled up in that arena. God knows the details. Please pray for wisdom and mercy, even, 'cause we are thousands of dollars into his degree with only seven more classes to go... If he doesn't land this degree that will be a HUGE problem and setback for us. :-(

Praying for your career, Mary... More students it is! :-)

Praying for you both El And Mary...
Mary, can you do some free advertising..perhaps through a homeschool group in your area or a Christian school? I know a woman who teaches homeschoolers during the day. Maybe you can find the group in your town and put out the word

El, does your husband have a test coming up? I will keep him in prayer for direction and completion of his goals.

Ladies, can you pray that God brings us more together as a family in His Word? That seems to be the missing link. Thanks!!!!
And thanks Mary for this post.
It is so important we pray for one another.

Please pray for a 10 yr old boy whose mom is a dear Christian lady (sorry I don't have his name) was just diagnosed with a very aggressive facial cancer. God knows who he is. Will get his name tomorrow. He has started chemo. Poor prognosis. Mom is a single mom to a 8 yr old daughter also--husband left her for another woman 4 yrs ago--A very trying time for her.
Thanks.

Chosen Oh My I will pray for him, this reminds me of a song of course it seems like everything reminds me of a song.

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS. I WILL POST THE WORDS.

Maryb said...

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there.

Chosen, about to spend some time in prayer. I thought I would head over here to see if there were anymore requests and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for sharing this.

I read your posts on Okie's too. I'll pray for some of those people you shared about with all that opposition you have been handed regarding Scripture and Jesus' sacrifice.

There certainly is a lot to pray about. I suppose that's just one of the reasons God says we should pray without ceasing.

Good night all. Sleep sweet. ---You too Chip!

Thanks for the prayers for that boy. I was up all night-so upset-having a hard time understanding it all. Sometimes there are some that seem to be dealt a more difficult deck.
I know the mom belongs to a church in her town and I am praying that the body there will come alongside her through this trial.

There is also a mom with 3 young kids who has been diagnosed with only 3 months to live-breast cancer. A patient of my husbands told him this also yesterday.

People come to my husbands office and need so much comfort. Sometimes I wonder how he puts in his 13 hour days and can have any strength left. Only by God's grace. I need to pray more for him.

Will pray for you Mary.

PS Mary,

Thanks so much for that song. I have heard it many times and taking the time to read and digest the words really is a great source of comfort for me.
I will begin a fast(liquids) for this boy.
God has done miraculous things through fast and prayer.
It seems in speakign with my husband that the husband has much guilt now. I don't know if he professes Christ-it would seem not to be the case, but I am praying that this is all for him and that his son will be healed and so the family. Thats what the Lord is putting in my heart--at least thats what I think. You never know for sure.

Mary, thanks so much for this post.
And for that "ultracute" photo of Mr. Chip.

One more..

The type of cancer is an embryological one--meaning that when the embryo was forming the aberration of chromosomes were already present..so this was basically a cancer from birth.(but only diagnosed when the tumor grows-usually under 10 yrs old.
So this is the reason why there is such a poor prognosis.

Because of this, it would be even more miraculous should the Lord heal him. I am praying that this healing can be an amazing witness for our Lord.
Thanks again.
