THIS IS ONE DARING BIRD

OK THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD LET CHIP THIS CLOSE TO A CAT. THIS IS NOT BUT THE PARAKEET HERE LOOKS LIKE ONE I KNOW BY THE NAME OF MARSHMELLOW HE BELONGS TO ONE OF PIANO STUDENTS. I PLAY WITH HIM WHEN I AM THERE. I HAVE TO ADMIT THOUGH THIS CAT IS ADORABLE THOUGH.

What a sweet looking cat-such a round cute face.
We had one like this that we rescued from the shelter but he wanted to take over the house and claimed all my dogs spaces as his own. He also hissed and clawed me dog int he face. I was willing to work with htis until he started going "wee wee" on my daughters bed. That was it! Every cat I have owned (3) have done this..They start urinating all over the place.

I have to admit, dogs seem a lot easier than cats..

I passed a bird shop yesterday and I took the time to look at a baby hand fed cockateal. What a cutie!

I have to find out how to transfer a photo to this computer. I have a mom duck that ladi 13 eggs that made a nest right near the entrance of my home in my portico. Last year I thinkt he same duck laid eggs in my backyard. I was surprised she picked this new spot since it is a walk to the lake-she has to go around the house to the backyard! But in a way it was a smart move because last year a huge snapping turtle confiscated her eggs and I think ate some of them.

I hope to learn to use the computer to show some photos..especially when the eggs hatch (usually 30 days after they are laid)

Have a great day Mary

Mary,

I was told by the lady they can live 30 years...
To tell you the truth at my age I don't know if I can commit to an animal that long!
He was very cute and had a little bald spot on his head...I guess he was moulting. He had a very sweet chirp-

I actually feel sorry for domestic birds because they have their wings clipped and I feel that because they were meant to fly, that is really a sad thing to keep them in a cage.

Don't want to depress you but every time I see a bird in a cage I feel sorry for it...

Kind of like if my legs were chopped off and I can't walk...
I wasn't going to say this but you asked!

I know what you mean, but chip is only in his cage when I am gone he is out all the time, and he can fly some, but I know what you mean I could not get a bird and never let it out. Iwould feel guilty, but like i said chip is hardly ever in his cage.
